This article analyzes the origin of the Mangid clan, their place in the political systems of the Golden Horde, Nogai ulus, Khorezm and Transoxiana since the Mongol period, and the process of their rise to power in the Bukhara Khanate. The article scientifically demonstrates that the weakening of the Ashtar Khanate dynasty and the internal political crisis at the beginning of the 18th century paved the way for the Mangids to rise to power, and that as a result of the political activities of Khudoyor biy, Hakimbiy otalik, and Muhammad Rahim biy, they became the leading force in the Bukhara Khanate. It also substantiates the scientific conclusions that Muhammad Rahim, taking advantage of the political vacuum created by the strengthening of Iranian influence of Nadir Shah and his subsequent assassination, declared himself khan in 1756 and the reign of the Mangid dynasty began. The study examines the history of the Mangids in connection with the military-political structures of the Mongol period and highlights their role in the history of the Bukhara Khanate and their influence on the political processes of Transoxiana
