Hayotiy maqsadlar, ularning kelib chiqishi, mohiyati va mavjudligi haqidagi savol uzoq vaqtdan beri faylasuflar va olimlarni e’tiborini jalb qilib kelmoqda. Bu doimiy e’tibor ushbu maqsadlarning bizning shaxsiy mavjudligimiz, hayotimizning ma’nosi va mazmuni, jamoaviy taraqqiyotimizga chuqur ta’siridan kelib chiqadi. Maqolada hayotiy maqsad tushunchasining o‘rganilish tarixi, bu tushunchaga nisbatan yondashuvlarni tahlil qilish asosida tushunchaning falsafiy mazmun mohiyati ochib berilgan. Shuningdek maqolada shaxsiy intilishlari milliy manfaatlarga mos bo‘lgan yoshlarni tarbiyalashda hayotiy maqsadlarning ahamiyati maslalari tahlil qilingan.
