Customs authorities, as a law enforcement agency, are responsible for identifying and eliminating internal and external threats to the economic security of the country. In addition, they take part in the fight against vices such as terrorism and extremism, which pose a threat to the future and security of the country. It is important to note that everyone has a responsibility to take measures to prevent the spread of these phenomena among young people, and customs authorities have an important role to play in this context. The article examines measures taken to combat terrorism and extremism among young people and also identifies new trends. An analysis is given of the true meaning and essence of jihad, which may be “attractive” to young people. The activities of customs authorities in this area are also described.
