The article analyzes the scientific and methodological foundations of training highly qualified taekwondo athletes. Particularattention is paid to improving technical and tactical preparation, individualizing training loads, and analyzing competitiveperformance. Based on the experience of leading taekwondo schools, the main directions for improving the training system ofhighly qualified athletes are identified.
