This article describes the history of the World Trade Organization and the procedure for becoming a member of the organization. The foreign trade of the member countries and a number of macroeconomic indicators are analyzed. Prospects of our country's membership in the World Trade Organization, as well as positive and negative consequences, are analyzed. Conclusions and suggestions are given.
