This article examines the role of competitions in attracting students of general secondary schools to physical culture and mass sports. The study highlights the importance of sports competitions in increasing students' physical activity, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and developing social engagement. It also discusses the practical aspects of how competitions enhance students' competitiveness, teamwork, willpower, and sports culture. The article substantiates the educational and motivational significance of competitions within the system of school physical education.
