Annotatsiya

This article analyzes the artistic representation of wartime social life in English and Uzbek literature from the perspective of comparative literary studies. Ernest Hemingway’s “A Farewell to Arms” and Said Ahmad’s “Ufq” are selected as the research objects. The study comparatively examines the artistic representation of the impact of war on the human psyche, family and social life, separation, death, love, fear, social responsibility, and everyday life in these works. It also explores how war is portrayed in Hemingway’s work through individual human destiny and psychological experiences, while in Said Ahmad’s novel it is represented within the framework of community, family, and collective life. The findings make it possible to identify both common and distinctive features of the theme of war in two different national literary traditions.
