The article analyzes the general state of agriculture in the Khorezm region during the initial stage of World War II, based on materials from the December 1941 issues of the newspaper “Khorezm Haqiqati” (“The Truth of Khorezm”). The study highlights the adaptation of the region's economy—which previously specialized in cotton monoculture—to grain production, the progress of autumn plowing and soil cultivation, the fuel-saving campaign in Machine-Tractor Stations (MTS) and collective farms (kolkhozes), the clearance of irrigation networks, and the role of women's labor. It covers statistical data reported in the newspaper, names of kolkhoz workers laboring in the fields, the execution of planned tasks, and the role of moral and material incentives in these processes. The research highlights sharp changes in the agricultural sector of Khorezm during the early period of the war, along with the achievements and shortcomings in this process.
