The resilience of infrastructure has become a critical need with natural hazards, cyber threats, climate change, interconnected failures, and increased service needs to infrastructure. The digital engineering innovations and sustainable construction approaches are analyzed to develop an integrated solution for enhancing infrastructure performance, adaptability and recovery. The Building Information Modeling, digital twins, Geographic Information Systems, Internet of Things sensing, artificial intelligence, simulation and data driven resilience assessment are given special attention. These technologies enable continuous monitoring, predictive maintenance, scenario analysis, recovery scheduling, asset management, and coordinated decision making for the entire infrastructure lifecycle. Digital engineering embraces sustainable construction principles such as resource efficiency, waste reduction, lifecycle assessment, and lifecycle costing, tackling operational resilience, environmental and economic performance. Integrated approaches to digital have the promise of enhanced service continuity, faster recovery times, less rework and better resource allocation, as seen in applications across the transportation, utilities, modular construction, urban planning, flood management and interconnected infrastructure sectors. Measuring resilience requires a connection between the digital capabilities and measurable objectives of service, flexibility, exposure, and recovery. The analysis shows that infrastructure resilience encompasses more than just a structural property; it is an outcome of a lifecycle and systems. Future development should focus on interoperable digital ecosystems, validated digital twins, standardised resilience measures, capability of the workforce and ongoing real world testing. Digital engineering and sustainable construction can therefore help to develop infrastructure that is safer, more flexible, resource efficient and able to continue to provide services under varying and uncertain circumstances.
