A new coronavirus infection has led to the development of serious complications from the cardiovascular system. Many adverse outcomes are associated with the selective effect of the virus on the pathogenetic links of coronary heart disease and arterial hypertension. Patient comorbidity against the background of COVID-19 increased the proportion of patients with chronic heart failure (CHF). The introduction of the post-COVID syndrome into the classification of diseases and knowledge of the influence of this syndrome on the early onset and aggravation of the course of CHF will contribute to its timely diagnosis. Our scientific material presents a brief review (digest) of scientific studies conducted on patients with a high risk of developing CHF and indicates possible methods for diagnosing it.
