Annotatsiya

This article examines the theoretical foundations of corpus linguistics, the stages of its formation and development, and its role in modern linguistics. Corpus linguistics is considered as a field of language studies focused on the systematic and empirical investigation of linguistic units based on large collections of electronic texts known as language corpora. The article discusses the main characteristics of language corpora, principles of corpus compilation, their classification, as well as theoretical issues such as representativeness and balance.
