The article analyzes the results of archaeological survey investigations conducted by scholars of the Khorezm Mamun Academy in Southern Khorezm in 2023–2024. The research was carried out in the Koshkupyr, Khiva, and Tuprokkala districts of Khorezm Region, in areas adjacent to the ancient channels of the Amu Darya, the Karakum and Kyzylkum deserts, as well as in micro-oases along the river. The surveys identified rural settlements, archaeological sites, and burial mound complexes dating to different chronological periods. Stratigraphic test trenches excavated in the Mevaston mahalla of Khiva sity revealed the history late period of the area and landscape features associated with an ancient moat. A total of 23 archaeological sites, predominantly burial mound complexes, were recorded in Tuprokkala District. Of particular scholarly interest are a rectangular burial structure dating to the Bronze Age and burial mound complexes attributed to the Iron Age. The findings provide new evidence on the cultures of nomadic pastoral populations in Southern Khorezm from the Bronze Age through the developed medieval period, their interactions with the settled population of the oasis, rural settlements, and the formation of trade routes.
