This article discusses the significance of ellipsis in modern linguistics and examines its study within the frameworks of stylisticsand grammar. It highlights the importance of ellipsis, alongside various other linguistic devices, in text linguistics. The studydemonstrates that ellipsis contributes to enhancing the emotional expressiveness of literary texts and, from a linguistic perspective,represents both a stylistic and a grammatical phenomenon
