The article analyzes the synthesis of traditional and modern methods in the repertoire ofthe folk instruments orchestra. It examines the historical stages of the formation of the Uzbek folkinstruments orchestra, the process of reconstructing instruments to match tempered harmony, and the waysof combining the national modal foundation with modern harmonic language, orchestration and conductingtradition in the work of contemporary composers.
