The study investigated the positive effect of green manure crops on soil fertility as well as the growth, development, and yield of maize. It was determined that, under the influence of suitable green manure crops, the soil’s hydro-physical properties, porosity changed in a positive direction. The experiment demonstrated that the cultivation of peanut and mung bean as repeated crops, together with the green manure crops perko, rapeseed, and a mixed crop of perko + rapeseed + mustard, in fields following the harvest of cereal crops resulted in a progressive increase in their positive effect on soil fertility.
