At present, we are facing a number of problems in the rapid and accurate diagnosis of certain diseases that threaten the life and health of the world's population. The rapid and uncontrolled spread of infectious diseases can lead to the development of an epidemic or even a pandemic. The most important aspect of the fight against infectious diseases is carrying out their timely laboratory diagnosis. Among the methods used in modern medicine for diagnosing infectious diseases, enzyme immunoassay is of great importance. This article considers the fields in which enzyme immunoassay is applied and the working principle of the method.
