according to global literature, independent healing of RVS is extremely rare, and surgical treatment is the main method of treatment. A contingent of patients with RVS receive qualified care in gynecological, proctological, general surgical hospitals or are not treated at all. RVS can be divided into low and high. The location of the fistula determines the surgical approach (perineal or vaginal). The low RVS is usually located distal to the anal sphincter above the dentate line. A high level of RVS is located near the cervix.
