Annotatsiya

The study addresses the problem of riverbank erosion and its adverse effects on agricultural lands, nearby infrastructure, and aquatic ecosystems. Traditional solutions such as impermeable breakwaters often exacerbate the problem by altering river flow dynamics and causing scouring. In response, the study proposes the use of a semi-permeable structure known as the Bandal Like structure to mitigate beach erosion. By allowing partial flow through its body, this innovative structure reduces the intensity of rotating currents and minimizes scouring , we use flow3d software, the study investigates the scouring and flow patterns of the Bandal Like structure under varying permeabilities. Calibration and verification of the numerical model are conducted using experimental data from previous studies.  The Results indicate that the optimal configuration includes a fin angle of 30 degrees, employing the RNG turbulence model , and a sediment penetration coefficient of α = 0.016. in addition , the study identifies the most effective interpolation model for minimizing scouring. This research offers valuable insights into sustainable erosion control methods, contributing to the preservation of river ecosystems and surrounding lands.
