Approaches to improving asset quality and ensuring the stability of credit portfolios in commercial banks areexamined. Particular attention is paid to enhancing credit risk management practices and limiting the growth of non-performingloans. Using systematic and comparative analytical methods, the key factors affecting the quality of bank assetsare identified. The analysis focuses on loan portfolio diversification, comprehensive assessment of borrowers’ creditworthiness,continuous credit monitoring, and the application of digital tools for risk assessment and management. Thefindings contribute to strengthening the financial stability of commercial banks and improving the efficiency of their lendingoperations.
