This article analyzes the processes for obtaining technical silicon, and then pure silicon, which is used in electrical engineeringand semiconductor elements, using Dzherdanak quartz sand, found on the territory of the Sherabad district of the Surkhandaryaregion. outside. Pure silica was obtained by converting commercial silica (obtained by carbothermal reduction of quartzite) totrichlorosilane, followed by purification by distillation and a hydrogen reduction sequence.
