The article presents the results of a study of the effectiveness of Minin Universityin training specialists in the field of sustainable development management and theimplementation of the ESG concept. The empirical basis was formed by questionnaires fromstudents majoring in economics and a content analysis of scientific plans. The results revealedan extremely low level of education of students in the field of ESG and fragmentary inclusion ofthe relevant topic in educational programs. As a solution, a comprehensive model for thedevelopment of a specialized course is proposed, supplemented by a chat bot as personal supportand a didactic board game for practicing practical skills. Recommendations are formulated forinternational control over the development of the educational process and the prevention of risksassociated with organizational and methodological challenges.
