Annotatsiya

In this article, the long-term dynamics of the water regime of the Chirchiq River at the Gazalkent hydrological station in northeastern Uzbekistan were analyzed based on average monthly discharge data for the period 1900–2022. The results show that the average annual discharge of the Chirchiq River at Gazalkent is approximately 217–228 m³/s, with a strong seasonal variability — the highest flows occur in the spring–summer months. The multi-year analysis identified extreme years, with 1969 being the wettest year (average 459 m³/s) and 1917 the driest (133 m³/s). Linear regression results indicate a slight decreasing trend, though it is not statistically significant. The impact of climate change and anthropogenic factors on variations in the water regime was also analyzed.
