Increasing students’ interest in learning through the subject of “Introduction to a Specialization” plays an important role in preparing future teachers for professional and pedagogical activities. This article analyzes the methods and pedagogical mechanisms of this subject that affect the development of motivation to learn. Effective pedagogical approaches to forming students’ interest in professional orientation in the educational process and practical means of stimulating them are discussed.
