Earthquakes have a destructive impact on urban infrastructure, making seismic hazard prediction a crucial tool for reducing damage. This study examines the development and application of a Geographic Information System (GIS) for seismic hazard assessment, including the analysis of building vulnerability.Seismic hazard prediction requires the study and calculation of various structural characteristics and building parameters across large areas, necessitating extensive field research and data analysis. Given the diversity of building types, functional purposes, and high urban density, GIS proves to be particularly effective for dynamic spatial analysis of urban development. Additionally, GIS can be applied to related tasks, such as rapid damage assessment after earthquakes and planning measures to mitigate seismic risks.
