Maqola uch qismdan iborat boʻlib, Kirish, Amir Temur saltanati va Boburiylar sulolasi amalga oshirgan diplomatiya hamda Husayn Boyqaro hukmdorligi davrida Alisher Navoiy siyosiy faoliyatidagi diplomatiyani yorituvchi maʼlumotlar keltiriladi. Oʻzbek diplomatiyasi tarixi bilan tanishish maqsadida manbalarga murojaat qilinsa, asosan mustaqillik yillarida nashr etilgan ikki boobroʻ kitobni uchratish mumkin. Bular: Jahon iqtisodiyoti va diplomatiyasi universiteti va Abu Rayhon Beruniy nomidagi Sharqshunoslik instituti hamkorligida 2003-yilda akademik M.Xayrullayev umumiy tahriri ostida chiqargan Oʻzbek diplomatiyasi tarixidan (Tarixiy ocherklar va lavhalar)1 hamda Oʻzbekiston Respublikasi Tashqi ishlar vazirligi va Jahon iqtisodiyoti va diplomatiya universiteti tomonidan 2019-yilda nashr etgan 6-jildlik Oʻzbekiston diplomatiyasi tarixi (qadimgi zamonlardan hozirgi kungacha) 2 nomli kitoblar. Har ikki nashrda uzoq oʻtmishdan to bugungi kungacha ajdodlarimiz yuritgan diplomatiya tarixi yoritilgan. Ayniqsa, buyuk Amir Temur davri diplomatiyasi har tomonlama, batafsil bayon qilingan. Bundan tashqari Boburiylar imperiyasidagi diplomatiya toʻgʻrisida ham diqqatga molik maʼlumotlar keltirilgan.
