The article discusses ways to improve the system of specialized medical care for acute coronary syndrome(ACS). Conducting effective and timely reperfusion therapy is the main therapeutic and organizational taskin patients with ACS. At the same time, it is the recovery time of the coronary blood flow in the infarctrelated artery that is of decisive importance in the prognosis of the outcomes of the disease, rather thanthe actual method of reperfusion. The strengthening of the material and technical base of the emergencymedical service, the creation of a network of reperfusion centers operating 24/7, the formation of optimalrouting schemes for patients with ACS contribute to a fundamental improvement in the availability ofhigh-tech cardiological care for this category of patients and, as a result, a reduction in mortality anddisability from myocardial infarction.
