This article summarizes modern views on the pathogenesis, clinical presentation and treatment of myocardialstunning. The methods of visualization and their comparative characteristics in the diagnosis of stunningare described in detail. The clinical significance of determining myocardial viability before myocardialrevascularization was also analyzed, as well as the results of multicenter studies of STICH, PARR2, etc.Considering the multifaceted clinical and prognostic positive values of determining myocardial stunning aftermyocardial infarction, conducting clinical studies in this direction is considered justified and relevant.
