The article examines socio-psychological factors of ensuring gender equality in Uzbek families, equal rights and opportunities for women and men, and protecting women from oppression and violence. Also, the article puts forward important recommendations on improving the legal and economic status of women, their living and working conditions, maintaining reproductive health, and changing traditional roles of women and men in society and family. Research conducted by the author shows that the study of this problem is very relevant today.
