The study analyzes the role of inclusive institutions in the long-term and high-quality growth of the economy. A comparative cross-country analysis has revealed a number of main reasons why the institutional environment in Uzbekistan, the quality of its growth lags behind not only developed countries but also countries with transition economies, especially in terms of guaranteeing property rights, reducing corruption and increasing the efficiency of the state apparatus. The study describes the priority methods of institutional reforms in foreign countries, as well as the main aspects of the strategy for the formation of an inclusive institutional environment. It is worth noting that changes are adopted in accordance with national conditions. Practical measures to develop an inclusive institutional environment in the country, which are based on accumulated international experience, have been proposed.
