The study proposes innovative equipment designed to strengthen the forage base of fish farms. The device of the latest technology is protected from external influences as the power supply is located inside the device. It is equipped with modern energy-saving lamps and is able to work for a long time without additional electricity. The proposed innovative fish farming device provides fish with natural nutrients – flying insects. The device works as follows: the surface and lower part of the protective cap is yellow, and the light flux emitted by the optical radiation source (lighting), reflecting from the coloured cap and the surface of the water, glows differently according to the law of interference. This makes it more attractive to insects around the pond. The light source is surrounded by a high-voltage grid, whose task is to kill insects that fly to the device. The distance between high-voltage grid cells is 5-8 millimetres. Insects that strive for light pass through high-voltage cells. In this process, insects die in high-voltage grids and fall into the pond. The system allows fish to feed on natural nutrients such as insects.
