The article examines the methodological foundations of the innovative educational process in the modernschool. The concepts of “innovative activity” and “innovative process” are clarified. It is concluded that there is a growingneed for a new theoretical understanding of the essence of managing innovative processes in an educational institution,as well as for developing pedagogical conditions that ensure continuous innovative progress
