This paper explores the development of the fruit and vegetable sector as a key factor in ensuring a stable andsufficient food supply for the population. Given the growing global demand for healthy and nutritious food, the efficientorganization of fruit and vegetable production plays a vital role in achieving food security. The study examines modernmethods of cultivation, the application of innovative agricultural technologies, sustainable resource management, andpost-harvest handling, including storage and logistics systems. Special attention is given to the economic and socialsignificance of the sector, as well as strategies aimed at increasing productivity, improving quality standards, andenhancing export potential. The integration of environmentally friendly practices and government support mechanismsare also discussed as essential tools in strengthening the sector’s contribution to national food security.
