This article discusses the issues of the scientific and technical potential of the country and the ways of its development. The main goal of this article is to identify the main problems of the scientific and technical potential of the Republic of Uzbekistan and to develop scientific proposals and practical recommendations for solving them. In particular, the issues of increasing the publication activity of scientists and popularizing their works, as well as the development of scientific and technical programs, including new and promisingscientific directions in Uzbekistan, were studied.
