The paper is devoted to the role of discontinuous structures in the formation of the Marjanbulak ore field and the placement of gold mineralization in its geological space. The history of the origin and development of the theory of geological structures of the Earth's crust is shown. The role of structures in the formation and placement of endogenous mineralization is considered. The data on the geological and structural positions of gold manifestations of the Marjanbulak ore field are presented. The special role of the geodynamic situation in the process of ore formation is noted.
