The scientific article consistently interprets the psychological features of adolescents' self-attitude. The article argues that the attitude towards oneself influences a person's behaviour, mode of adaptation and communication, which makes the study of adolescence especially relevant. Self-attitude is an individual formation, and therefore its whole structure and content are revealed in the subject's real relationships. Self-esteem presupposes a person's critical attitude towards himself by comparing his own capabilities with the demands made by society. During the period of the formation of self-attitude the adolescent becomes more anxious and self-confidence declines. The emotional side exerts an increasingly greater psychological influence on the formation of the adolescent's personality. The scientific article determines the connection between the criteria of self-attitude and psychological well-being, as well as the quantitative ratio of subjectively well and unwell adolescents in social groups. The main component of self-consciousness is self-attitude; it determines the subsequent actions of the personality and its activity as a whole, and occupies an important place in the life of every person.
