The lexical units in the works of O'tkir Hoshimov are able to give the most truthful conclusion about the social situation of the people of the period depicted. Food names, which are one such group of lexical units, are widely used in the writer's novel «Ikki eshik orasi». This article studies the lexical units expressing food names in the novel «Ikki eshik orasi», dividing them into thematic groups from the lexical-semantic point of view.
