The article analyses religion as a spiritual value. It sets out that today the methodological and theoretical foundations of building a civil society and a law-governed secular state in our country consistently follow the principles of secularism and genuine democracy, as in all developed states, that freedom of conscience is legally guaranteed in our republic, and that the principle of tolerance (religious tolerance) has in practical terms been instilled into our life and our way of living.
