The features of the training process for preparing a team of cadets for competitions in overcoming the obstacle course are revealed. Proposals were put forward for improving the preparation of cadets for competitions. It is proposed to include overcoming the obstacle course in the section of militarized and service-applied sports, which will considerably ensure an increase in the cadets' physical readiness and reliability for working in extreme conditions.
