Annotatsiya

This study explores the formation of speech acts on social media in English and Uzbek, drawing on Speech Act Theory and linguistic research. It highlights differences in pragmatic strategies, politeness, and syntactic structures shaped by cultural values. The article also discusses challenges posed by informal language use and problematic speech acts like hate speech in digital communication. Findings underscore the importance of culturally informed approaches for effective cross-cultural interaction, especially in less-resourced languages such as Uzbek.
