Annotatsiya

A supramolecular nickel(II) complex, bis[triethanolamine- κN,O,O′]nickel(II) bis(3-amino-4-methylbenzoate), [Ni(TEA)2](AMB)2, was synthesized and comprehensively characterized by and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Antimicrobial assays show that the complex exhibits moderate, broad-spectrum antibacterial activity and performs better than its individual components, though it remains less active than ciprofloxacin. Molecular docking studies predict the strongest binding to Bacillus subtilis, supported by a favourable cavity size and π-π interactions with a porphyrin cofactor.
