This article explores the development of communicative competence of EFL students through Task-Based Language Teaching. Communicative competence is one of the key objectives of English language education, as it enables learners to use the language effectively in real-life situations. Task-Based Language Teaching provides students with opportunities to communicate meaningfully by completing practical, problem-solving, and interaction-based tasks. The article discusses the pedagogical potential of task-based activities in improving students’ speaking, listening, interaction, vocabulary use, grammatical accuracy, and fluency. Special attention is given to the role of the teacher as a facilitator who creates communicative situations, guides learners, and encourages active participation. The study emphasizes that task-based learning increases students’ motivation, promotes learner autonomy, and helps develop confidence in using English for authentic communication. The article concludes that Task-Based Language Teaching can be an effective methodological approach for developing communicative competence in EFL classrooms.
