This article is devoted to topical issues of teaching methods of the subject "Electrical engineering and electronics" in higher educational institutions. Studying, modern pedagogical and information technologies. It highlights the issues of the development of technical education based on non-traditional methods and information technologies. The effectiveness of the use of modern pedagogical and information technologies in the education and training of highly qualified specialists-engineers is analyzed.
