Annotatsiya

This study examines the preparation of carbon-based adsorbents derived from local raw materials—plum seeds—for the effective removal of heavy metal ions from water, as well as the investigation of their physicochemical properties. During the research, plum seeds were activated using thermal and chemical methods to synthesize adsorbents with a high surface area. The physicochemical characteristics of the obtained materials, including porosity, surface structure, and adsorption capacity, were analyzed. In addition, the efficiency of these adsorbents in removing lead, cadmium, and other heavy metal ions from water was evaluated experimentally. The results showed that carbon adsorbents derived from plum seeds are low- cost, environmentally friendly, and highly efficient, making them promising for use in water purification technologies.
