In this article, the ethnographic units presented in explanatory dictionaries are analyzed from a comparative, etymological, statistical, semantic-structural point of view. Methods of reflecting the names of ethnocultural subjects related to the national customs, rituals, traditions, ancient way of life of the people in explanatory dictionaries are explained.
