It is a known fact that in the national linguistic sciences of post-Soviet Central Asia and Azerbaijan, traditionally the grammatical theory of Russian (Soviet) linguistics and its approach and interpretation methods have been used as the theoretical and practical foundations of the study of language. This is especially evident when interpreting grammatical categories. These incorrect approaches were once criticized by the famous Turkologist Prof. S.N. Ivanov, who drew attention to situations in which grammatical categories in Turkiс dialects were treated as in Russian and German, or grammatical categories such as gender (in nouns) and aspect (in verbs) were «inserted» into them. As is known, in the Indo-European linguistic tradition there are 5 conditions for the existence of grammatical categories: 1) a grammatical category is a system consisting of a set of opposite linguistic forms that have homogeneous meanings; 2) the grammatical category covers related morphological forms or is expressed by several morphological elements; 3) the grammatical category is mandatory for all elements of the part of speech; 4) the category is necessary for any language unit; they cannot exist outside the grammatical category; 5) the category is preserved only within one part of speech. Grammatical categories in Turkiс dialects, for example, the forms and meanings of the possessive category do not correspond to the 5 conditions indicated above, in particular: 1) a noun in Turkiс does not accept possessive suffixes outside the communication process (for example, okul, kitap); therefore, there is no pair of its opposites (violation of condition 1); 2) the category of belonging applies not only to names; on the contrary, numbers, pronouns and other words with objective meaning in Turkic dialectes can tend to the possessive category: dördünüz, ikimiz; bizim, senin, kendisi (violation of condition 5). In addition, similar violations are also observed in the categories of case and number in nouns; pronouns and verbs also take a plural suffix, forming an honorific category: Uzbek. dädäm+lär keldi+lär (dad come); Uygur. ulä kesillä (he may come); Turkish. binler(ce), onlar and ets . In recent years, it has become common for scholars to describe grammatical categories in Turkic dialectes as semantic categories arising from the linguistic nature and structural features of the Turkish language, rather than describing them as formal-grammatical categories, as in Indo-European. Inouropinion, thenature(essence)ofgrammatical categories in Turkiс dialectes is as follows: The approaches currently used for grammatical categories in Turkic linguistics are not suitable for the nature and structure of our language. Grammatical categories in Turkic languages can be characterized as semantic, or rather functional-semantic categories. In Turkic languages, some linguistic units (words) may go beyond this category and, as in any language, are examples of grammatical violations in Turkic dialects. Grammatical categories in Turkic dialects are semi-semantic, multifaceted and multifunctional, some of them continue their functions in one part of speech, while most of them function in several parts of speech. In the grammatical categories of Turkic dialects, the special form (suffix) does not change, but its meanings may change, since the meanings of a certain affix are interrelated. The sum of these meanings will determine the nature of a particular grammatical category. In Turkic dialects, the meanings of grammatical categories are formed only by agglutination.
