Annotatsiya

This article champions a shift from the published masterpiece to the hidden power of manuscripts and archives. Through a qualitative analysis of drafts, letters, and editorial records from Uzbek writers like Asqad Muxtor and Oybek, it demonstrates that these pre-publication materials are not merely preparatory. Instead, they reveal literature as a dynamic process of negotiation, shaped by collaboration, ideology, and socio- political pressures. Framing the archive as a vital interpretive space, this study redefines the "masterpiece" as a historical settlement and advocates for a more nuanced, human-centric understanding of literary history.
