Down syndrome, a genetic disease caused by trisomy on 21 pairs of chromosomes, in which mental retardation is combined with a peculiar appearance of the patient. In scientific work, 120 children were examined, of which 75 (62.5%) were boys, 45 (37.5%) were girls. It was proved that a more pronounced neurological deficit in the form of speech disorders, fine motor hand disorders, disorders of the coordinating sphere, autonomic dysregulation was revealed in children with trisomy, compared with children with mosaicism and translocation.
