The article reveals the nature and mechanisms by which the digital economy affects the development of the tourism industry in the world. The relevance of research on digitization in the field of Tourism is determined by several factors. First of all, it is in the tourism sector that the use of digital technologies is clearly manifested: it makes it easier to understand the essence of the digitization process. Secondly, it is the effectiveness of using the latest technological advances that determines the competitiveness of tourism companies, and from this point of view, the study of the impact of digital technologies on production processes in this area is of great practical importance.
