In this article, the opinions of scientists of the world and our country about the concept of pilgrimage are studied and analyzed by the author. In addition, the issues of effective use of objects related to pilgrimage tourism located in our republic, particularly in Samarkand region, were studied. Using the multiplicative model of economic analysis, using the method of chain replacement, the efficiency of pilgrimage facilities in the region was factor analyzed. Taking into account the results of the analysis, comments on the development of pilgrimage tourism are presented, paying special attention to criteria such as the development of scientifically based proposals and practical recommendations.
