The article examines the improvement of existing approaches to the principles of state regulation of the economy at all levels of management, taking into account the current state of development of the transport complex, servitization and the formation of the sharing economy to change business models and develop the service sector. Fundamental changes occurring under the influence of each of the listed trends have been identified and a list of characteristics of the current state of the service sector has been compiled.
